Christina Haack, born on 7 July 1983 in Anaheim California. Following her graduation, her first job was in the real estate business. Tarek el Moussa was her potential future husband. They were very successful in the years prior to 2008 when the stock market crashed and many house flippers and real estate investors went bankrupt. Tarek El Moussa & Christina El Moussa nearly insolvent due to the market crash in 2008. When they moved from their home that cost them $6,000 per year to a place that was $700, they were close to losing all their possessions. In the meantime, their business and overall economic performance improved. HGTV and Rise to Fame In 2011 Tarek requested a colleague to assist him in creating an HGTV audition tape which showed the two of them Christina the process of flipping houses from start to finish. The tape landed in the hands of executives at an production firm called Pie Town Productions. They were enthralled by Tarek's and Christina's love story. In 2012, the couple signed an agreement with HGTV. Flip of Flop was launched in April of 2013. The show ran 92 episodes between 2013 until the year 2017. On the show, Christina and Tarek would acquire properties, which are typically middle-income houses located in Orange County, and would follow up with several weeks completing upgrades in order that they could sell the house to make a profit. Tarek is focused on construction and remodelling while Christina focuses on design as well as making sure the project is on time.
