McKayla Rose Maroney, also called 'Mack Air Maroney', is a famous American gymnast, who was awarded an Olympic gold medal for the US Olympics gymnastics team as well as an individual silver medal for vaulting during the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. Her parents were active in sports, which prompted her to start gymnastics from a young age. She has a specialization in vaulting, and is the only gymnast who has been able to be successful in the defense of her gold medal.
