Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress and a singer. She is a Michigan native who was born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). She is born in Polish descent (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her passion for entertainment from a young age. She went to her audition in 1992 and was offered a role on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent prior to her turning thirteen, and she was subsequently cast for television and newspaper commercials. Also, she began acting lessons in private at this time. Bell was as a guest in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998, as an uncredited actress. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music and drama clubs. The school's production of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was chosen to play Dorothy. Bell later moved in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell left the school in 2001, when she landed the role of Becky to play Tom Sawyer. The same year, she made her first credited debut as Pootie Tang. Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and her appearance exists only in the credit sequence. Bell was in Broadway for the first time in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
