Amy Smart, an American model and actress. Amy Smart was born in California and grew up there, but she began the modeling profession in Italy. In 1996 when she first made her appearance, she appeared acting as an actor in the TV movie titled "Her Costly Affair.' Following a difficult transition her first film, she was offered a tiny character in the film "Starship Troopers..' Amy had a difficult time making the switch from modeling to acting, as models were not usually considered good actors. Models were usually given small and unimportant parts. Amy didn't give up. She surpassed her roles from the 1970's series as well as the film Varsity Blues. Then, she stepped into main roles for the romantic comedy film, 'Just Friends in which she was also joined by Ryan Reynolds. Amy received the recognition she'd been waiting for over an entire decade.
