Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began by releasing a humorous rap track dealing with issues related to sexual and race. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood following the release of several rap songs. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was from the trumpet. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was in her teens. In her schooling, she specialized in the field of journalism as well as women's studies. She studied Mandarin for a while in Beijing. She didn't start focusing on music until she completed her degree. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured in her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also featured viral hit tracks like body-positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC Bitche$1. The latter track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. Her resume contained both an musicians and an author. The singer was seeking to expand her career into acting. As well as early shows, such Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In 2018, her breakthrough role was in Dude Ocean's 8 along with Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP In Fina We Trust.
